On June 23, our team of 27 sets off for Joplin, MO. to help rebuild, restore and renew that community, which was devastated by a May, 2011 tornado.  Please keep our mission team and all who they come in contact this week in your prayers.  The team returns Friday, June 28th.

Lastly, alteddies run postcardhough this event is technically in July, it certainly deserves an early mention.  The first annual Eddie’s Run will take place on Saturday July, 6th.  This is a fundraiser to benefit Fayette County Special Olympians.  The fun begins at 11:00 a.m. with lunch and registration for a motorcycle run around Fayette County.  At 1 p.m. the motorcycle riders take off, and the fun carnival and family games will continue.  Local artists and bands will supply entertainment all day.  When the bikers return, there will be a best bike of show contest, a raffle for some prizes, more food and music and games!  Open to the entire community, as all events at Grace Church are, and is an event to raise money to help pay the costs of the Fayette County Special Olympics team.  Hope to see you there!
